The Statistical Physics (C3) Commission of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP) has entrusted the organization of StatPhys29 to the Italian Society of Statistical Physics. This conference serves as the premier gathering for the global statistical physics community and is held every three years. The conference is scheduled to take place in Florence from July 13th to 18th, 2025.

We are thrilled to announce that the 2021 Nobel Laureate in Physics Giorgio Parisi will deliver his inspiring lecture, “Emergent Collective Behaviour and Complexity”, on Sunday, July 13th, at the iconic Salone dei Cinquecento, Palazzo Vecchio, in Florence.

The event will culminate in the prestigious SIFS Paladin Award Ceremony and School Project Award, where selected students will have the honour to attend Parisi’s inaugural lecture and receiving recognition for their outstanding achievements.
